An investment of several million yen is approved.<\/p>\n<p>It is proposed to create the largest <strong>gaseous hydrogen production plant<\/strong> in the world, operational by 2020. Fukushima intends to recover in this way after the nuclear accident and the tsunami.<\/p>\n<h3>Japanese companies are investigating:<\/h3>\n<p>Toshiba, Tohoku Electric Power and Iwatani will spend a year researching the configuration and specifications.<\/p>\n<p>Research focuses on studying the essential technologies for a hydrogen energy system that will play a key role in stabilizing networks by smoothing output jitter. It will have a maximum capacity of 10,000 kW.<\/p>\n<p>The objective is to produce hydrogen gas by applying electrolysis to the water with the cleanest possible process. They have announced that they will publish a more detailed report in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>According to the calculations the facilities will be able to produce 900 tons of hydrogen per year and supply 10,000 vehicles with hydrogen or fuel cell.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 563px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"http:\/\/ingenieroemprendedor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/TOSHIBA_research_and_development_center_Komukaitoshiba-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"Toshiba Research and Development Center\" width=\"553\" height=\"370\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 553px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 553\/370;\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Toshiba Research and Development Center<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>The energy market in 2020:<\/h3>\n<p>In my opinion the demand for clean energy is increasing and it is clear that the hydrogen gas will be within the &#8220;energy mix&#8221; for its unique qualities. These qualities make it very competitive compared to other, much more limited, renewable energies.<\/p>\n<h3>The road to Europe 2020:<\/h3>\n<p>Now the question is where do we want to be in 2020?
